About

Bookery Gallerie is an emporium bookshop and a new creative venture in Church Street, Lisson Grove, London. It is situated in the heart of a parade of established antique shops and is right opposite the world famous Alfie's Antiques Market. It will present a programme of established and emerging artists from far and wide and also very much encourage and include local artists. The well-lit extended gallery space has high ceilings, white walls and four huge skylights flooding the space with natural light. Featured artists will display their art in this inviting location, where the exhibition programme will provide a platform to show their work in either solo or group shows, with many possibilities of collaborating with each other.

Bookery Gallerie has evolved out of a book soiree night which brought together an eclectic range of personalities including many artists, writers, musicians, thinkers, film makers and more, over a period of more than two years. The idea and opportunity then arose to create a new space incorporating a large personal collection of books within a gallery. The gallery will focus on Excentricism, outsider art, experimentation, craft and creative ways of engaging with artists and the public. The are no limit's to human expression.

Bookery Gallerie will bring together a dynamic and lively program of shows, events and talks, with participants having opportunities to become interactive and engage with ideas surrounding Book Art, within the shows and encouraging an ongoing dialogue between the written word and the image.

The space was launched and inaugurated on the 22nd of July 2021 with our first show "Emerging Out of Lockdown - The New Extraordinary".

We look forward to welcoming you all!
